Have recently started ED coding - still learning how to code from the MD's handwritten notes! This MD writes as the diagnosis: "R foot injury" 959.7, right? However, in the detailed description of the injury, he also states "soft tissue inury R foot". Have always considered soft tissue injury to include sprains, strains etc in the 840-848 category and would consider 845.10. What should I code? Thanks!
