Place of service for trach

We billed out a trach 31610 place of service is out patient hospital, however it was denied by an arizona Medicaid plan stating "place of service inappropriate for service billed." I called the hospital and pt was actually admitted in the hospital. Am I allowed to change the place of service for this code to alert the insurance that pt was "in hospital" I need an immediate response!! Thanks guys!!

Of course. You need to follow each payer's rules about how to amend/change/correct a claim.
