Regarding medicare on throat cultures

If a patient has medicare and a throat culture was performed will medicare pay for it or is it another code that medicare suggest that we use?

Medicare pays for throat cultures with a covered indication. Be sure you are using the right lab code. If you are not sure, take the CPT® book to your clinician and ask.
