In general, bedside ultrasound studies are “limited” studies focusing on a single problem or area, with specific CPT® codes attached.
Complete studies involve evaluating and commenting on all major structures contained in the description (i.e., Abdominal Ultrasound – 76700) and are usually associated with the studies performed by a radiologist.
