mammogram with implants

What is the correct way to code for a mammogram(bilateral) when the client has implants? My physicians are using 77056 and appending modifier 22?

Mammogram

You need to go by what was ordered. Just because a patient has implants doesn't mean it is a diagnostic and there is no need for any modifier.

Here is a link to an article I wrote on coding mammograms:

The patient had a palpable lump thus the diagnostic code. Thank you for citing your article-very helpful.
