Allergist services in ICD-10

Coding scenario:
CC: Patient here for yearly follow-up for peanut allergy. Patient has had a past reaction of hives when skin has come in contact with peanuts. Patient currently receiving weekly allergy immunotherapy and has seen improvement with no recent reactions.

Impression: Patient has had no peanut allergy issues since beginning allergy shots. Will continue with weekly shots.

The doctor currently codes this yearly visit with the following diagnoses codes:
ICD-9 dx code
708.0, Hives
995.7 Other adverse food reactions, not elsewhere classified

Is this the correct way to code this scenario? My thinking is that it should be coded with the following code, as the patient is not currently in the throes of an allergic reaction.

V15.01 Personal history of allergy to peanuts

Has this doc been coding these incorrectly this entire time?

This is a scenario that doesn't crosswalk well to ICD-10. This is why I am needing your opinions on this before I attempt to educate my provider on the correct way to code this in ICD-10-CM. Thanks!
