distal claviculectomies, size excised

There seems to be limited information as to what is the acceptable size of the clavicule excised for coding a claviculectomy. I know that some fiscal int. want to see .5 inch but others do not have a specification. Is there any infomation out there on this?

Clavicle excision

The only information that I have seen is from AAOS which says that at least 1 cm should be taken off and not merely the shaving off of osteophytes.
