On the initial face to face visit for TCM the physician bills 99495 or 99496. They are trying to bill for additional office visit such as 99214 if patient has other complaints other than the ones they had in the hospital. Can they do that? I was under the impression that only the 99495 or 99496 could be billed on the day of the 7 to 14 day visit.
