Our hospital group provides care to patients in long term healthcare facilites. The question is how do they bill for their service if a patient who they are following is going to an acute care hospital for a procedure and then reutrns to the Long term facility. Do they first bill a discharge from LTC and then bill a re-admission or is it a subsequent hospital service code. thank you all!
