Wound care

We have a patient who's been coming in daily for wound care, hematoma lower leg. Is an E/M required for each visit and a modifier? This patient is a medicare patient also. Thanks.

Are you billing for a procedure on that day? Dressing change? An E/M service is probably not required every day if the patient is getting better and you are billing a procedure.

Can you let us know what CPT/ICD-9 codes you are billing?
