Open would of hand 882--what makes it complicated?
If sutures were done is this complicated?

If you look at the beginning of open wound in your icd-9 book it explains that the description "complicated" is for use with the mention of delayed healing, delayed treatment, foreign body or infection. Sutures have nothing to do with code selection for diagnosis.
