IV push codes

When performing an infusion of a biologic that routinely takes 2 hours to administer, the patient has a reaction necessitating Benadryl or Solu medrol to be given IV push. Do you use the 96374 code or 96375?

Thanks!

IV push codes

Do you have documented start and stop times?
It depends on how the drugs were given and how long they ran.
Can you give me the order of the drugs and the start and stop times?
example: Benedryl 25mg IV push Start 9:15am stop 9:16am = either a 96374 or a 96374 depending on the other drugs given and how they were given.

re: IV push codes

I got sick of having to count all IVF/IVP/HYD instances on large ED accounts. Found this and it proved to be helpful.

Probably won't help with your current issues but may save you some time on others.
