Rat Bite

Per the ICD-9-CM Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting, the primary diagnosis on the claim cannot be an E-code.I have a claim with icd 9 E9061 (Rat Bite).
Please advice whether any other icd9 code can be used for this claim..

You'll need another code. A wound code for say open wound finger if the rat but the finger as well as the E code for the rat bite.
