transfer of care in ER

Which physician should get credit for the ER visit when physician #1transfers care to physician #2 at the end of physician #1shift?

Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

That is an internal decision that the group should decide upon. It is a very common occurrence.

There is no right/wrong answer from a coding perspective. It is a compensation issue and should be dealt with there, in my opinion.
