11042 Help please

If a doctor debrides two separate wounds on the same foot would they be included in the same CPT® 11042 since it says first 20 sq cm or less. Or would he "add" on the 11045 code for the second wound? Thanks

sorry but which situation would you say is correct. Both under the same CPT® or 11042 and 11045. Thanks

re: 11042 Help please

11042 for the first 20 sqcm, if more than 20sqcm was debrided you would bill in units 11045. As long as the depth is subcutaneous for the entire debridement you would add together and bill 11042 and 11045. If they went to fascia on one foot and subcutaneous on the other then you would bill 11042 and 11043. Does that make sense.? Sorry my answer was so short before.
