Denail_CPT® 95972

Hi am working on Neurosurgey specialty coding

Is CPT® 95972 can be applicable for Assistant surgeon. As per CMS Assistant at Surgery Indicator of 0 states "Assistant surgeon may be paid with documentation supporting medical necessity"

Since am receiving Medicare denial for this CPT® as " MISSNG/INCMPT/INVLD PRCDR CD" when i append 80 or AS modifier.
Please clarify how to process this denial.
