Help!!!

I am retaking the CPC exam and just want to ask for advice regarding the test. Also, can someone please tell me a simple way to understand what the doctor's surgery or progress notes are really saying. How can I pick out the key words or phrases for a correct code?????

You want to look for the appraoch and determine if a procedure was done with an open approach or with a scope. For example laparoscopy or laparotomy.

Be sure to watch the ortho section for open or closed reductions.

With GI you need to determine if an endoscopy was performed how far did the scope go into the anatomy either upper or lower. Be sure to review the codes and find the end point of the scope for the code.

Your study guide and hopefully a pre-test class should help.
