The dr is using a liquid to glue the wound as opposed to an actual stich. I know it seems like a basic question, but what codes do I use?

I had to look this up recently. At the start of the repair code section in the CPT book, there is a brief editorial piece about the method for closing the wound. It says the doctor can stitch it, or use a glue-ing type compound. (They actually name the compound, but I don't have it in front of me. CPT doesn't use the word glue-ing!) When you look up that word, you see it refers to dermabond and other substances. Dermabound is the brand name.

there is no additional payment, but whatever method the doctor uses, you select the code in the usual way.
