Medicaid Patient

Hello,

Medicad denied these procedures G0101 (Cervical or vaginal cancer screening; pelvic and clinical breast examination) and 88142 (Cytopathology, cervical or vaginal (any reporting system), collected in preservative fluid, automated thin layer preparation; manual screening under physician supervision) as service not a benefit. Can anyone tell me how to get payment for these procedures from medicaid. Any help would be appriciated.

You can't- the G0101 is bundled into the physical CPT® code and the 88142 should be charged by the lab- I am sure you are not doing the actual test. Doctors doing more for less- Medicaid's motto
