Hospital Admit Coding

If a patient gets admitted to my doctor today at the hospital (either inpatient or observation) and my doctor doesn't go to see them until tomorrow for the initial visit, what day do I bill as the admit date? Today or tomorrow? My doctor will do her H&P tomorrow and put the admit date as today's date, even though she is doing the work tomorrow. So this is two questions...1. What date to charge the admit, today or tomorrow. and 2. Should she be putting today's date or tomorrow's date on as the admit? Thanks so much in advance for any help you all can give me.

date

The initial face-to-face date of service is the code used. Tomorrow's date of service if that is when the face-to-face was performed. The CPT codes (99221-99223) state "Initial Hospital service".
