Blood clot removal from wound after excision

Patient had an excision of a skin lesion on the cheek. There were complications with the wound healing & a blood clot formed blocking edges of the wound from joining. The dr excised the blood clot, removed it, & stitched up the wound. She said this was not an incision & drainage of hematoma. She did not drain the clot, she excised it & closed the skin defect it left behind. I am having trouble finding the correct procedure code. Help appreciated!!!
