ICU Visit
When cardio specialist are called for a consult for a patient that is in the ICU can we bill for the ICU codes 99291-99292?

YES, a specialist can bill 99291-99292 for a consult in ICU. Just be mindful of the time limits on each code, and the hospital notes need to reflect time in and time out.
