A patient came in for iron infusion treatment and the RNs were unable to find a vein after "poking" the patient numerous times. The doctor was contacted and said for the patient to leave (patient was tired of being poked as well and wanted to leave). Would we bill 96361-52? The patient was in the center for 2 hours.
