Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome

What diagnosis would be most appropriate for vibration syndrome effecting the legs/lower limbs bilateral? This is from working with/using construction vibrating equipment for over a year. I have found the following from your site that I might consider: 338.21 chronic pain due to trauma. 729.5 pain in limb or V49.3 sensory problem with limbs. Please advise what you feel most describes this syndrome. Thank you.

re: Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome

I think the answer depends on the problem the patient is having: is there chronic pain of that area? has "trauma" been diagnosed? pain in limb is more regarding a less chronic issue, so how long as the pain (if there IS pain?) been going on? and, finally, IS there a 'sensory problem' with B-LE's? I think once the answers to these questions are explored and found, you'll have your answer as to which code to use.
