All my dipstick codes 83518 are being denied. I there another code that has replaced this code?

Dip stick

What kind of dip stick test? Urine? Are you billing it with anything else?

All I know is it is code 83518 urine test. How will I know the difference? And yes I am always billing with the e/m codes.

For a urine dipstick the codes you should be using if you are billing for a UA dip
are 81000-81003

I have no problem getting 81002 to pay. However, Aetna requires a 25 modifier on the office visit if billed together.
