Colonoscopies and hospital visit on the same date of service

Does Medicare pay for a colonoscopy and hospital visit on the same date of service?

If they address another problem I bill the hospital visit with a 25 modifier and a different diagnosis. I have been told that if it is the initial visit you can bill both with the same diagnosis.
