Medicare's Electronic Prescribing Incentive Program

Hi, I had just read an article in CMS Website about "Electronic Prescribing (eRx) Incentive Program. Can anyone give me a detailed information about this? What is this CPT® code G8553 and how it is linked with this eprescribing incentive Program. Any Help would be appreciated...Thank You

In short

if you have a certified E prescribing system, you just need to report the G8553 code, linked to the primary diagnosis at least 25 times on claims where you actually sent an electronic prescription for the patient. (I would report it 35 times just to be sure aat least 25 get there.)
Then in November, 2012 you will get a bonus check for 1% of your total Medicare billings from 2011.

We currently do not have a e prescribing software. Can I fill out a hardship form and state this? Is this acceptable by Medicare?
