billing for suture removal, staple removal and or dressings

how do i bill when a patient who was stapled or sewn in the ER comes to me for a wound check, and later for suture removal? if there are dressing changes, are they billed? how? what about supplies? we often use tegaderm dressings, since they're better for patients, but they're not cheap.

Since you did not do the suturing, charge an E&M visit document eval of the wound and treatment, that includes supplies so you are stuck with that cost
