A patient had an exploratory laparotomy and endometriosis was found that was fused to her abdominal wall. The doctor did an "excision of abdominal wall mass". How do I code this?

Was the excision of the endometriosis performed through with laparoscope or was it converted to an open procedure?

49203-49205 is for an open procedure.

If done laparoscopically, and this was of the abdominal wall and not of some other organ within the abdominal cavity, then look at:
