Nursing Visit

Are the pratices billing out nursing visit of 99211 when patient comes in for a lab draw or just the 36415/99000?

lab draw

The nurses visit implies a service was rendered above and beyond the lab draw and was medically necessary.

Definitely no

Blood draws cannot be billed with a nurse visit. A protime check and warfarin adjustment with proper documentation can be billed with a nurse visit. We gave up on 99000- no one pays.

Nurse visits

If you search for 99211 in the search box on the site, there is an article by Quin Buechner on this topic. There are also several articles you'll find if you search nurse visits. They should help.
