Erx

If an eligible professional participating in the Electronic Prescribing (eRx) Incentive Program completes an electronic prescription later in the day (or in the next 1-2 days) for a denominator-eligible encounter, can (s)he report on the eRx measure?

re: Erx

Claims may NOT be resubmitted for the sole purpose of adding or correcting an eRx code.

re: Erx

Thanks for your response! So if we are waiting for a culture to grow out to see if the patient is going to need a script, we just probably need to hold that charge for a couple of days to see if the G code is applicable?

Why hold it for this one? You only need to report on 25 claims in the year- one does not matter.

re: Erx

No, it's not just one. This is a wound care clinic and this happens quite often and we are trying to meet our requirement of 10 by June 30th. Thanks!

re: e-Prescribing

Did the physician write a script and submit it electronically at the time of the visit? Using G8553 says just that.

re: e-Prescribing

No it would be a couple of days later after getting culture results, so I'm telling the billing office manager that it should not be done since script is actually not submitted until 2-3 days later. Thanks!
