Finance charges on Medicare patients

I remember reading somewhere that we could not charge finanace charges/interest on balances owed us by our Medicare patients. Does anyone who where I would find that information? Thank you for the help. Deedee

If you charge interest on anyone you are considered a financial institution. Do you really want to go thru that paperwork? Wasn't red flag rules enough?
