Spirometry in Medicare pts

I do not get reimburesed for spirometry on Medicare pts how can I ?, Are there any limits on spirometry on asthma patients

What CPT (94010?) and diagnosis did you use? It is not paid for a diagnosis unrelated to the respiratory system or as a screening test- I would use asthma or dyspnea or COPD, etc. as they apply to the patient's condition. I have seen no frequency limits but that does not mean they do not exist.

Spirometry in Medicare patients

Please let us know which CPT code you are using from the Pulmonary function tests section. Is it 94010? Also, what diagnosis codes? And, who's your carrier?
