BMT Patient Scheduling

I'm looking for advice on how BMT patients should be registered.

Our patients are coming in for either plasma pheresis or photpheresis and the patients are seen in the apheresis department and evaluated by one of our BMT physicians prior to each treatment. The physician can only report the procedure code, unless there's a separately identifiable reason documented to reported an E/M visiit. These patients are currently being scheduled for an established office visit. My question is should the patients be scheduled as an established patient office viisit or for the procedure the patient is coming in for?
