When can you charge for doing a prostate exam?

You can do a digital rectal exam with PSA annually for age 50 and above. G0102 and G0103. This is for Medicare patients.

But that code is paid if it is the only professional service performed. Any other E&M or wellness visit and it is bundled.

Which really puts it into the realm of "noncovered," doesn't it?

You may be able to get it paid on the same day as one of the Medicare wellness visits. I don't know if it is bundled into those.
