CPT® code and modifier

What is the CPT® code for a return visit to the physicians office 2 weeks post-surgery? Also what modifier would I use with this code.

If the date of service is still in a global period, you would not bill the insurance company unless it was unrelated to the surgery. In that case, you would bill the appropriate e/m code with unrelated diagnosis code and add modifier -24. If it is purely postop, we use CPT® 99024 for internal auditing purposes with V67.09. It does not get billed to the insurance company.
