Rule Out

An old topic, I know but I'm new to this forum and would appreciate your opinion. How would you code "r/0 hypoglycemia" when the symptoms this child exhibited were very vague and only documented as "doesn't feel good" and "family hx of blood sugar problems, parent would like blood sugar tested"??

V18.19 family hx of other metabolic diseases
V77.99 screening for other...metabolic disorders
If the symtoms had been documented in more detail, you would use those primary to the V-codes.

I would not use the v code as there is a real complaint so they are not screening an asymptomatic patient.
