pre op consults for medicare patients

Now that Medicare will no longer be recognizing consults as of 01-01-10, how do we bill a pre op clearance for a Medicare patient requested of a Primary Care physician?

Do we now use an Established visit code?

It's back to using established codes- old things are new again
