Mvc er

MVC ER physician bills er cpt 99284 and patient is also evaluated by the Trauma surg. Should the truma phys also bill for an ER visit as well..99283?

They each bill what level was medically necessary and documented (ER code- 990281-99285).

Was the patient admitted?

If so the Trauma doc uses the Initial Hospital codes; if sent home they use the ED codes.
