CPT code 94760

Normally, the insurance carriers used to deny the CPT code 94760 as bundled whenever we bill this code with 94060 & 94640 or with an E&M code.

The code 94760 gets bundled with the E&M code as per CCI with the reason of "Procedure Code 94760 as a bundled service when other payable services are billed on the same day by the same provider and department."

Could you guys please help me on how to move forward on this issue?

are you asking about appeal?

i do not think this would be an issue to appeal. all the carriers i have dealt with have included this in either the e/m service or another code.very few are even considering it towards co-insurance.

Thanks a lot for the information. Usually what we do is, we write off this code as an approved write off code. My question is about whether there is any ways or methods that we can use in order to make this claim paid.

only one way to get it paid

have the patient come in to the office only for the pulse ox reading. No other visit, no other service. Then of course you would have to establish medical necessity. Consider the purchase of the pulse ox machine as just another fixed office expense, like buying a new BP cuff or scale.

Can we bill the pulse ox and the office visit in two different visit, but on the same DOS?

Not at the time another service is performed. Would not advise gaming the system.

You answer below is not clear, here is what I do 94640, 94760,94761-79, j7609' 94760, a7003, a7004, a7017, how do I bundle?
