OV for depo

I need help with this visit. This patient came in for Depo shot, the nurse did a pregnancy test and gave the depo shot but the Dr. did see her to ask if any problems with her FP method. He coded the visit with a 99213. Is this correct or should I be coding it with a Modifier? If so, which modifier for which code? Please help. Most of the depo shot visits we see are this type of visit. thanks.

First, most should not be that type of visit. Yearly visits are appropriate. There is no need for a modifier for the visit. But be sure the visit note meets for level 3. IF the doc just asks if there are any problems it's not a real visit.
