I am wondering how far apart the appointments have to be to have the procedure done on the opposite eye? There is a 10 day global with this code, however, do we need to wait that 10 days to complete the other eye?

the global period is only for the eye that the procedure was performed on. YOu could identify the other eye by using the modifier LT or RT to verifty which eye the surgergey is being perfomed on. the modifier should of been used to identify the original procedure so there wouldn't be a misunderstanding when billing for the other eye in the future. just an FYI if your billing for both eyes you would use the modifier 50 to identify it was a bilateral procedure done:)
