CPT® g0102

Received denial from carrier Cigna stating as This procedure code represents services that are not usually performed on the same DOS, use a different surgical approach or overlap the services of another procedure submitted on this claim.

Patient is 62yrs old and for the same DOS we billed the CPTs 99396,93000 & 82270 also. So anyone pls suggest is there any way to get this paid. Or is it bundled with any of these CPTs.

In my opinion, the DRE is part of the age appropriate exam and should not be paid or reported separately.

yep, G0102 can only be used if it was the only service provided (and we know guys are lining up asking for prostate exams, especially with the new USPSTF recommendations)

G0102 is billed with G0103 Screening PSA. I only bill these to Medicare. Is there someone who is getting paid from other carriers using this screening psa code?
