Osteopathy specialty

Is a Doctor of Osteopathy a separate Medicare approved specialty from Orthopedics? Where is the web-site that lists all the Medicare approved specialties? We just got a new DO in our practice of Orthopedics. Can I bill his patients as new when they have been seen by any of our Orthopedic physicians?

it is not a specialty, it is a degree designation. What was she trained to do in residency/fellowship? Orthopedics? Then she is an orthopedist.
