Gen Surg Coding Help

Surgeon did what he calls a LAR with a colostomy. The usual code for LAR is 44145. He did not do any type of anastamosis. He closed of remaining rectum and made a colostomy. Can someone point me in the right direction?

More info...

Wow, I just reread my post and saw I forgot to give the most important piece. This was a rectal tumor. He did a partial proctectomy, and removed part of the intestine. Seems the intestinal resection was more for margins. Thats what made me question if this could still be considered a "hartmann's" procedure. Do you guys still think so?
He only chose to do the colostomy after a complication when re-anastamosing the intestine to what was left of the rectum.
