our clinic is also considered urgent care clinic we see patients on emergency basis along with the regularly scheduled appointements, so the patients that we see on emergency we bill a 99051 with a 25 modifier on the regular e/m visit most insurances are denying the 99051 as intregal to the e/m service are we sending the claim out correctly

is a stand alone code, so no -25. Second it is for regularly scheduled after 5 pm and weekend patients. Any some insurers do not pay it so those get written off
