Certifying Physician

Does the attestation for homehealth certifications need to be signed and maintained for the certiftying physician to submit/receive payment? I have heard that only the homehealth organizations need the attestation for their billing and wanted to clarify.

the attestation is required by the home care company; you don't need to keep it and cannot get paid to sign it- it is included as part of the visit. There is a code for the care plan certification but that is a different document.
