96372 can we bill 2 on the same day?

A patient came into the office for chest pain. He was given J1885 (Toradol) & J1040 (Depo Medrol). Medicare is denying the 2nd 96372 as a duplicate. The 1st one was paid with a 59 modifier. Can the 2nd one be appealed, or how would I get the 2nd 96372 code paid by Medicare.

did you bill the same code twice or the one code with 2 units?

According to CMS’ instructions when billing for more than 2 units of 96372 it will be necessary to report the additional units on separate line items with the appropriate modifier (59). If 2 separate administrations, then put "2" in units field for code 96372
