Aloxi

I was just wondering if I can bill Aloxi as an IV infusion if we run it for 20 minutes. I heard that we cannot due to the prescribing information which states IV push.
Any info to clarify this will be very helpful

Thanks

Really?

Can you drip in 5 ml over 20 min? Don't know why you'd do that- if it is to enhance revenue, don't do it. If it is a side effect issue, slower push.

infusion guidelines state that all infusions are time based so even though this was "supposedly a push" based in the time rule of anything 16 minutes or more is coded as an IV infusion.
