Can a PA/NPP perform a consultation in the hospital setting?

If I was the Primary care doc, I'd never use that specialist again!!!! I want a doctor's opinion, not a PA!

NPP and consults

Yes, but bill it under their own provider number. It may not be billed under the MD provider number as a shared visit.
